Legal Question in Traffic Law in Indiana
my fiance has been in jail since august 10,2010 for failure to appear. he has been in the shelbyville, IN co. jail, since they picked him up for his warrant on that day. Last june he got arrested for not having a license, he got bonded out at the same jail, but forgot his court date. we have hired an attorney, but it seems like were getting nowhere. he says he needs more time with the prosecutor and the court date set for sept. 15 has been postponed. What will happen? my fiance says he might get another 30 days in jail. I just dont understand why they just wont let him have probation and pay some fines. do you think there something more than this? is my fiance lying to me. his father got this attorney for him so i havent talked to the attorney personally.I just dont understand why they would even consider keeping him in jail for this.

If you have suspicians about your fiance then perhaps you should do a criminal background check. I cannot tell you what will happen based on the facts presented.
