Plea Bargain for Speeding: Indiana

I have a previous conviction for disregard of safety (OH) on 1/2006. My IN record (which I checked today at the license branch doesn't have that. However, I got a ticket for going 77 in a 70 on an interstate and will go to court to say whether I'll fight or not. I was wondering if I will be able to plea and take traffic school and have that off my record, or be able to do that and pay the fines and go to traffic school and have the ticket dropped? I also rear-ended a car in March of this year (but wasn't ticketed for doing it, though I was faulted with the accident.)

In Ohio, I pled no contest to disregard of safety and the magistrate dropped the fine from $150 to $75, which I took. Do you think that's possible? Or what I proposed in the first paragraph? I never took traffic school, other than driver's ed back in 1995 (I'm 27 now.)

This is in Huntington County, and the court is in a small town about 20 miles from where the infraction occurred.

Also, if I fight it, I was told I can pay right before the trial if I decide to. I was stupid for giving my name when I talked to the secretary and asked about it.

Like I said, the ONLY violation showing is a speeding ticket in OH in 11/02 for less than 15 mph over.

Certain prosecutor's office will let you go on infraction deferral. Where you pay a fee, and if you get no tickets within a set period of time, your ticket will be dismissed. You should ask about that program.
