Legal Question in Traffic Law in Indiana
Out of state ticket
I live in MI but work out of state. While driving in IN, I had my cruise set at 67 in a 65, the limit dropped to 55 without my noticing. Luckily a state trooper noticed for me. However when he wrote me up, he wrote it for 77 in 55. What happens if I don't pay and they issue a bench warrent, is it enforcable in MI? I would most likely just pay the ticket, but IN adds $110 in costs on top of the $100 fine, which for an honest mistake is a little steep in my opinion especially when the officer added 10 mph on too.

Re: Out of state ticket
I doubt a warrant will issue, but you should know that a failure to appear/pay will be shown by the Indiana BMV, and it will be sent to MI. Then, MI will most likely suspend your license until you pay it.
