Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana
I bought a house from a major real estate company 1 1/2 years ago. A lady that claims she owns the property next to me, which has been an empty field of grass for many years of living in this town; says my shed needs to be torn down and we need to pay her severance for pine trees being cut down to build the shed. She has threatened me in voicemails and even came to my front door acting nuts. We bought the house with the shed where it was and have cut down no trees. The Mortgage company has documentation of the property lines and it shows we have 2 feet before we reach the other property and back of shed is against the county railroad property line. And today she even called the police telling them i was cutting down her trees when i was at work all day. The police showed up at the same time I got home. After 1 1/2 years of living here I don't even own a chainsaw. The lady claims she has property documentation from 1870's and I have county legal notorized documentation from 1972 when our home edition was built that the property lines were adjusted then and approved by county and a judge. She says she is taking me to small claims court. According to previous owner the shed has been there for 5 years and this lady has never caused them problems. Does she have any leverage with her 100 year old property papers that were changed in 1972 legally?

Submit her claim to the title insurer and let them handle the situation.
