Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

If I want to get a copy of a will and have no idea if or where it was probated, what are my options?

As a direct decendant do I have the right to request and receive a copy of the will? Willing to hire a lawyer if need be but, no offense to the profession, it is expensive to do if it cannot produce results.

Sure, you have the right to request it, if you know who has a copy. You can check the courthouse for the county where the residence of the deceased was at the time of his or her death. Otherwise, you will need to hire an attorney without a guarantee of results.
