Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

dissatisfied with administrix

What rights do I have as an equal heir under an adminastrator who I believe is manipulating realestate appraisals to aquire them himself at a discount. I want a new appraisal by a different appraiser. Will I have to pay for this myself? Who will define which appraisal is correct? Should I go out of pocket fot my own attorney now?

Re: dissatisfied with administrix

Probate courts exist to handle problems such as this. Petitioning the Court to review the doings of the administrator is proper anytime one suspects wrongdoing. The Court may choose to appoint it's own appraiser and bill the costs to the estate as an expense of administration.

You could probably well use the services of a probate lawyer if there is much of value at stake.
