Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

If I am entitled to an enheritace of property and I don't want it because a family member lives there can I write a letter saying I don't want it and have it notorized do I have to go to probate court or hire a lawyer?

You can disclaim an inheritance but you need an attorney to do this properly..
