Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana
I am the executrix of my father's estate. I have 4 brothers and sisters who each of them, including myself, all have equal shares in my fathers home. The estate has been opened and all papers have been filed in court authorizing me as legal executrix. I am putting the house for sale. As executrix, do I have the right to determine the price on the sale of the house without consent of the 4 other interest holders? I have a hired a lawyer, but I want to get another lawyers opinion.

You can not set the price by yourself. You have to have authority to from the court to accept a price, depending on the method of sale. It would be WISE to have everyone's agreement, but not NECESSARY under all circumstances. Ultimately the court has the authority to approve any sale.
