Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

someone in my family is an executior of an estate. when the person passes away will the executior have sole discression over the estate, or will there be someone reviewing dispursment. someone to say that the money was spent on what needed to be payed and that the heirs get equal amounts ?

The executor is that person. The actions of the executor are then reviewed by the court with jurisdiction over the estate.
