Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana
What are an heirs rights?
My father in law died in and as a resident of La Grange County Indiana. Received letter from an apparent representative of dads will. The letter stated some specific items of his and to whom they go, The rest of property was to be auctioned and put into a already established trust. Not sure if pour over or not. We have learned about items not mentioned in letter were distributed.
The distribution of these other items has been explained by her siblings as they were wanted and therefore given, whereas we were told we had to bid on any property not specifically mentioned in his will.. Now we are being told both ''There is no will'' and '' ''There is no reading of the will''.My wife is disabled from head injury(Hit by car at 7 yrs)and has been taken advantage of before.
Do we have the right to see his will, given the suspicious nature and can the administrator be held liable for distributing assets in question and improper disclosure?

Yes, you have certain rights and should consult with an Elder Care or probate attorney. Mary
