Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

Husband and I are divorcing and reside in Indiana. His mother just passed away in Arizona and left him a large estate. He says as long as the estate funds are not dispersed or comingled with our marital funds, he does not have to share these funds with me nor our children nor does he have to divulge these as assets in our divorce proceedings for the purposes of determining child support. His intent is to wait til our divorce is final and then to have the estate settled, saying this protects him. Further, my father passed away 5 years ago and left a large estate to me, which I chose to share with husband and now only ask to have that half that amount reimbursed and no more ... husband tells me too bad and that I do not have a legal leg to stand on. Can you tell me if this is true?
