inheritance given to an adult with special needs

My adult sister with special needs was given an inheritance. I am my sister's guardian and caretaker. When I required about the $$ I was told that it had not been put in a special needs supplemental fund so the money would jeopardize her SS and Medicaid status. What can I do ?

You do not say if the money has been disbursed to her or not. Get yourself to a lawyer tomorrow. This is too complicated for this forum.
