Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

How long do you Keep Files on the deceased

My aunt passed away six years ago. How long do I need to keep her financial records. I was her power of attorney.

Thank you.

If her estate was probated in some manner at the time of her death or was too small to be probated, then after 6 years, you could certainly dispose of the records. If there was a personal representative appointed, the records should have been turned over to that person.
