Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana
My mom has 20 thousand in the bank. She wants to leave it to her children. She is going
into a nursing home. How can we make it so
they won't set claim to that money.

Who is paying for the nursing home? If it is the government, then they will require that most of this money be used to pay them or pay them back, in order to reduce the deficit and avoid raising taxes or Medicare premiums. You should sit down with an elder law specialist and try to sort out the best way to handle this.
