Re: Money held with the court clerk

I am not sure I really understand your question. Most generally the county clerk does not have money belonging to anyone unless someone has either filed a petition requesting the right to make a deposit to the Clerk during litigation or someone has made a judgment payment or support payment to the Clerk. Since your question is in the Probate arena, I assume you believe that a decedent's money is placed in the hands of the county clerk after death. This is not the case. If you are trying to determine how long money is held before it is turned over to the state as unclaimed money, that would vary from county to county.

If this does not answer your question, please rephrase your question.
