Mother sold house put money in living trust with me as trustee
money to be split 4 ways evenly. but she keeps asking me to write a check
to give brother money to help him amounting so far to $10,000. tellling me to deduct it from his inheritence. question is ....at time of her passing can i legally deduct that amout or do i have to give him a full 25% of the amount of the money that is left over?

Take the trust to an attorney to review whether you can make the gift. It is doubtful that you can deduct that amount from his share, but the document controls. Not all trusts, contracts, deeds, etc. are identical, and therefore attorneys have to see the documents before answering questions about them.
