Re: Probate Court - Petitioner

First you must determine what court has jurisdiction over the estate: That will be the county in which the decedent was a resident at the time he or she died. If the family or personal representative decides to hire the attorney who wrote the will, and another family member or devisee objects to what is going on or how long it takes, he needs to hire his own counsel to petition the court to revoke any unsupervised administration and/or to review the reports to the court or to merely raise the question about how long it is taking to probate the estate.
