Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

Probate and wills

My mother passed last month she had no will. She stated before she had died that I was to get the house. She had no husband and all my siblings agree that I should keep the house. Do I need a lawyer? do I have to go to court? what is the process and is it expensive? The house has no liens and has been paid in full its worth about $60.000. Iam lost and dont how to start or where to start this process.

Get yourself to a lawyer. A lawyer will be a pittance compared to what it will cost to fix the problems of not getting an estate opened and property transferred properly.
