Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

My uncle just passed away, his son is in jail. I have not been able to get in touch with his son. The coroner has listed me as next of kin. I want to make sure that his son receives his inheritance. The funeral arrangements have already been made. What do I need to do next in regards to my uncles property?

Need to see an attorney and get an estate opened. The son will be listed as an heir. You may be appointed as the Personal Representative of the Estate.
