My grandmother just passed away and left money to my father. He also passed away in may, I am his only next of kin. Do I get the money that was left to him?

Re: will of deceased
I am sorry for the losses of your father and grandmother. Whether or not you get the money your grandmother left to your father depends on whether he died before she did. If he died before her, then she may have had some other provision for the money. If he died after her, then you have a clear claim to the money, assuming your father did not have a will leaving his estate to someone else, outside of the family. You should be able to find a lawyer who will discuss this with you for little or no fee. Good luck.
