Legal Question in Administrative Law in Iowa

Spent over $7,000 to put a new roof on my house. Prior to roof being installed my wife contacted a gutter installation company twice to discuss timing of installing new gutters. Both times the gutter people said it didnt matter, before the new roof was installed or after. Timing dictated the latter. When the gutter peopled showed and installed the new gutters they put straps over our new shingles (rather than under like the old ones were) that look very unsightly. When my wife contacted them about it they informed her that was the only way to do it. I think they look ugly and am irritated that they drove screws right through my new shingles.

What is my recourse? Do I have to pay for something I dont like?

It seems as if your issue is you don't like the way it looks. In answer to your question you don't have much recourse unless and until they sue you. Which they undoubtedly will if you don't pay them, or they'll file a lien.

Whose decision was it to do the gutters before or after the roof was installed?
