Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Iowa
180 day writ
How do I obtain a 180 day writ document? Does it need to come from a lawyer or can I get it off of the internet somewhere? I know there are alot of different writs, therefore, I'm letting you know its for a robbery.

Re: 180 day writ
You haven't provided enough information for me to give you a proper answer. If I understand you correctly you want a form of pleading, yet you have not provided any of the particulars such as what is the receiving state, where the prisoner was sentenced, whether the prisoner is on parole, whether proper notice has been served on the prosecuting authority that holds the detainer and so on. Without that information I couldn't even begin to render any assistance.
