Legal Question in Banking Law in Iowa
who has the authority to put a lock or hold on my checking account
if you owe someone or a company money from 8-9 years ago, can they just come in and tell the bank that and the bank attomatically locks down your account?

Do they have a judgment? A judgment creditor or the IRS can seize funds. Did you get any Notices or other paperwork?
