Legal Question in Banking Law in Iowa
I cosigned on a loan with my ex for a car but have never once made a payment - I haven't seen seen the car in two years. The year after we broke up he made 4 or 5 late payments and it's the only reason I've been denied for a few different loans. Is there a way to get my name off the loan without him refinancing the car? The car is over 100,000 miles and he can't seem to get it refinanced. Anything else I can do?

The short answer is no. He's ruined your credit by being late on his payments. All you could do to salvage the situation is pay off the loan since he likely won't do it.
