Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Iowa
I filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and had a charge for LACU of $5000 included in the bankruptcy. My credit report states this bill as "Civil Judgment in Bankruptcy" and falls off my credit report May 2013. However, when doing a court search when trying to rent, I discovered this judgment is still OPEN. How do I get this closed or dismissed through the Iowa court systems so that it does not reflect negatively on me when landlords do a background check?
