Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Iowa
I was hired as a sub contractor from a contractor. I did my work and he got paid and didn't cut me my check for my work. Months went by and I stayed on him but basically he was filing for bankruptcy. Now that's done I seen it in the paper but I have never been told by him or his lawyer and now he won't communicate with me. Its for $7,000 . Is there any way I can get paid?

You're an unsecured creditor and he's filed bankruptcy. Unless he was doing business as a corporation or partnership that's still active, your money is gone.
