Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Iowa
Question on Bankruptcy
I am thinking of filing Bankruptcy 7. I am a single(divorced) mom of two boys. I have 2 house mgt. payments and a car payment, I have medical bill that is very high, and 12 credit cards. Will I have a problem with this to get my unsecured bills discharged. I am behind on these bills, but my house and car payments I have still been paying on them.

Re: Question on Bankruptcy
Probably Not, but in Iowa there is a high income test, that stops people from filing chapter 7 bankruptcy if they make too much money, code section 707, best to see an experienced Bankruptcy lawyer
Re: Question on Bankruptcy
You should not have a problem getting a discharge. Based on your circumstances I would recommend you file a chapter 7 case. This is the least expensive and the quickest to complete. The case usually lasts around 5 to 6 months from beginning to end. Your are entitled to receive a "fresh start" and begin again. READ MY FIRM'S PHILOSOPHY!
