Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
Default Judgement against a Business
I work for an adgency that filed a judement against an individual due to a delinquent loan that he had with us. The judgment was put into place on 9/2007. Can I still contact him by phone or email to try and collect on the debt? Or am I restricted of doing that now that I have a default judgment in place?

Re: Default Judgement against a Business
Judgments must be renewed periodically, in Iowa it is every ten years. I see no reason why you should not try and collect this debt-assuming that the court has ruled and you actually did get a default judgment against this fellow.
