Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa

so my employer was going to put an advertisement on his cube van and wanted to take a picture of me and a fellow co worker. I told him I didnt want to be in the photo and if I was I would wantto be paid.. He continued to take the photo and had the image blew up and placed on the side of the truck. I asked him several times when I was going to be paid for the photo and he ignores me. So my question is am I legally entitle to compensation from him using my image for commercial gain and how would I go about collecting payment

Well since he's obviously not going to pay you, you can sue him, and he can fire you. Those are the options. Iowa is a right to work state and you can be terminated for any reason, good reason or no reason at all.
