Home based trucking business
I live in Mason City, IA and I am starting a home based trucking business, my question is do I need to get a business license or permit from the city or state to start my business? It is just my wife and I working.

You probably want to check with the city if you live in town and the DOT for the state. It's probably no bog deal even if you do need a permit.
