Is it an invasion of privacy if a Telephone Company that I was the General Manager of calls the neighboring Telephone Companies to tell them my employment was terminated?

An attorney will tell you it depends, in part, on whether you had a written employment agreement, and if so, what this provided. In addition to the invasion of privacy issue, it smacks of interference with prospective economic advantage (employment).
