Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
OK so this is kinda out there, but I have this plan to build a website to support charities but cant help but think that it would break some law of some kind. So this is how it work, people would donate money to this site and be entered into a drawing. After 30 days donations would stop and I would draw a name then that person could choose what charity they wanted to donate to, take a small percentage for themselves, and a small percentage for me for server space and other expenses. And that is where I think I would be breaking a law.

You'd be running a lottery and that is currently against the law in this state.
