Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa

How do I go about licensing a trade name for a business that won't really make money? I mean, it could potentially, but I more likely will remain just another musical genius with some recording software and instruments in the basement of my house. My business name, however, is a very clever one. Diane and Kat are my two "selves" at odds with each other. Hence, dikatomy creative ventures. What is my job title? Creative Consultant? Noteworthy writer, I mean, I could write presidential speeches. I can write song lyrics in five minutes. Can I call myself a Kattywumpusing specialist or would this cause legal issues because I don't have a license to kattywumpus, or a degree or any training in Kattywumpusing? Put more succinctly, how do I license a trade name for my business in this situation and can I legally claim to be a kattywumpusing specialist.

Read the statutes. You have to register it at the county level by filing the correct documents with the County Clerk's Office and at the State level with the Secretary of State. But the music is a whole other matter and involves the Patent & Trademark Office at the federal level.
