Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
My LLC is being sued by our former insurance agent. There was an audit to our liquor liability insurance and it was found that additional premiums were owed (their words). They paid the additional premiums without our consent or knowledge. Now they are wanting to be reimbursed for those premiums.
Our contention is that we never authorized the payment of those premiums therefore don't owe them.

Ordinarily you would be right but I do not have the contract of insurance here to say whether there is language that authorized this payment or not. Did you not know about this problem beforehand?
