Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
Locating a person
I need to locate a person who owes me money. She ran a business, I paid $1500 for furniture and never saw it. She's out of business now. I have a home address from Small Business but it may be old. How can I locate more info about her so the Sherrif can serve her?

Lots of possibilities. County records (recorder and court), zabasearch.com, private investigator...

I agree with Thomas. In addition if this person is out of business they may have filed bankruptcy so you could check the court records there. If they have, you aren't going to collect anything whether you have a judgment or not.
