Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
Money Owed to Business vs Money Owed by Business Owner
I provide services to a country club. My business is a separate entity. I also was a member of the club.
I provided some billable services for the club and upon receiving payment noticed that they withheld PERSONAL charges from the payment made to the business.
Is this legal?

It would make a difference if your business is incorporated, but if you are a partnership or sole proprietor there's no way of insulating the accounts.
