Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa

Non-Sufficient Funds Check

My question is: What recourse does an employer have when they receive an non-sufficient fund check and the customer does not pay? Is this against the law in Iowa? What do we need to do to pursue the customer?

Thanks.

You sue them in small claims court and sometimes you collect from them.

Re: Non-Sufficient Funds Check

I am a little confused by your question. You ask what recourse an "employer" has, but then go on to ask about a "customer" not paying. Is this person an employee or a customer or both? Tendering a check knowing there are not sufficient funds to cover it is unlawful in Iowa.
