Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
I operate an online retail store which sells body armor(all levels), night vision (different GEN models), rifle scopes (some military grade), knives (switchblade and butterfly). My understanding is that it is okay to sell these items as long as the individual isn't a felon (because of body armor mostly). Also, if it is on the USML I can't sell to dual citizen nationals and third country nationals residing in the US for fear of retransfer (which breaks an ITAR law). Am I correct on both accounts? Is there anything I am missing? I won't be shipping overseas because I know the ITAR is very restrictive. Is it okay to just have a disclaimer on my website but still be able to sell all of those items to US civilians?
