Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
My past employer is meeting with my clients and bad mouthing me. Some had been his clients and followed me. As he is the owner of the local media (newspaper) they are scared of retaliation via bad news stories ect.
My clients have been loyal to me, but this is getting embarrasing and time consuming. How do I address this legally to make this stop?

Unfortunately there's little that can be done about this unless what the employer is saying is/are outright fabrications. In that case you might be able to sue them, but you'll bear the burden of proving it. Litigation is expensive.
