Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
Qwest Dex Yellow Page ad
I purchased a small business last year. There was a yellow page ad running that had been automatically renewed by someone, (Quest has no record of who renewed, the previous owner to me never spoke to anyone nor did he ever pay a bill.) Quest now wants to sue me for total balance $1200 +court cost

Re: Qwest Dex Yellow Page ad
Generally you assume all debts of a business that you buy, however it sounds like you could win this in court so deny the claim and be prepared to tell your story in small claims court.
