Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
I was given a Separation Agreement and General Release when I was terminated. The agreement stipulates that I would be paid a one-time payment less any required withholdings and deductions and waives payment of any amount beyond the sum listed. My question is this Agreement does not Stipulate that I would be paid any accrued hours worked, Vacation or sick time remaining that is accrued. Am I legally due that in addition to the amount stipulated in the agreement?

"Waives payment of any amount beyond the sum listed." If you signed it, there's your answer.
I suppose if you want to fund litigation in an effort to recover any other money you say is due you, and you had a contract of employment or employment agreement that so stated, it might be possible to pursue the matter.
On the other hand if this separation agreement is in lieu of termination for cause, your argument could be considerably weaker. In that case one might think that the consideration was in lieu of you going away quietly and without a lot of fuss and bother.
In case you hadn't noticed, Iowa is not particularly employee friendly when it comes down to employment disputes. It is a right to work state where you can be terminated for any cause, good cause, or no cause at all.
