Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
We want to start a business. We live in Iowa but want to incorporate in South Dakota. We will eventually move to SD but we currently in in Iowa. Do we need to live in SD before we can create the business and do we need a lawyer from Iowa or SD to do the incorporation?

You do not need to be a resident to form a corporation in South Dakota. It's relatively easy to do and you probably do not need a lawyer to incorporate. Since you're not residents you will need either a registered agent or the default registered agent which would be the secretary of state I think. Check this out.
