Legal Question in Business Law in Iowa
You
I belong to a fishing club in Iowa and the former president and a few club members decided to leave the club and start a new one. I have taken over and am asking for the financials to be turned over to me. The ex-president sent me a check and no statement of account. I think that they are keeping the money for their new club. Is there a legal issue here?

There is. You should be calling for an audit of the books. Contact your club's attorney.
