Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
5th degree theft
I was recently charged with 5th degree theft and I am awaiting my court date. I have no criminal record what so ever. What can I expect to happen at the court date?

Re: 5th degree theft
I suggest you contact an attorney ASAP and see if you can get this dropped or diverted. It'll look terrible on your record and mess up employment prospects. As a backstop you can ask for a deferred judgment. That's second best but it does protect your record a bit.
