Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
5th Degree Theft
Is there anyway to get a 5th degree theft taken off of your record? I have read something about having it explunged from your record. The theft occured in April of 2001.

Re: 5th Degree Theft
Unfortunately, there is no provision for expungment of criminal records in Iowa unless the person was granted a deferred judgment, and even then DCI maintains a record.
