Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
Adult Children
Is a parent breaking any laws by reading emails if that parent suspects trouble? The (adult) child was using the parent's computer, internet service and was living at home. The password to the account was always known so it could be used at the parents' discrection if needed and the child was aware of this. It wasn't a problem until the child turned 18.
