ex boyfriend back after 8 months

my boyfriend and i lived together for 16 months. when he left he told my kids they can keep the dog he had, he even sent them an email stating this. he told me i could keep the bed and entertainment center since we got rid of mine so we could use his. he came into my house while i was visiting family and took his computer which he was letting me use and we discussed and he was going to get it back. He had been gone for 8 months and he feels he can come into my house for this. I filed a report with the police and he got mad and now sueing me for these things. what legal rights do i have? He never asked for anything back and i gave him a weekend to get anything he wanted. I left for the whole weekend and told him he could come in. this was the following week after he left.

This is not a question about civil rights, but a question about what you can do about being sued. You have to file an answer within 20 days of service so be prepared to go to court and tell your side of the story. Absent some sort of a written agreement this will be difficult at best.
