Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
Charged with no investigation
I was charged with domestic abuse assault. I was found not guilty. During the trial when the arresting officer was on the stand, he admitted that he did not do a thorough investigation before filing charges. Do I have grounds to sue for legal fees? Also, how long do I have to do so?

Re: Charged with no investigation
You can't sue the government unless they allow themselves to be sued. It's called sovereign ummunity.
