Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa

what can i do???

On dec 6th by deferred judgment i was convicted of a crime i did not do,because my attorney did not do his job and had no defense case prepared,i went for a plea aggreement but i was convicted on dec 6th 2005,but did not sign my plea aggreement until dec.9th 2005,how could i have been convicted ,On dec 6th i was not present by in person or plea agreement or by my attorney.According to Iowa court procedure once a plea agreement is discussed the court is to inform me of my rights of appeal,my rights of appeal was never explained to me by my attorney at the time i signed the plea agreement or did the court ever explain it.Please help me,I have spent all my savings trying to get justice,,can get a new trial? thank you for your time

Your opportunity to withdraw your plea or file a motion in arrest of judgnemt has long past. In order to receive a deferred judgment one must plead guilty, so you were not convicted of a crime you did not do.

Your time to do anything about this is past.
