Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
A disabled person, often perceived as "gay"/"retarded" was thrown out of a Library book sale, I believe, based on the way he looks. False accusations were made against him, one, that he was falsely accused of not buying anything, two, he was falsely accused of following 2 boys when the 2 "boys", (one, his acquaintance/friend who could probably testify), were actually 2 adult men. They are on record as claiming I was following them while in reality I was interacting with the 2 men - peacefully and all 3 of us willingly.
Is what the volunteers at the sale did legal? Can anything be done about this? Or does the "law" continue to allow people to make false accusations - and act in such ways about them?

Unfortunately what you have here is battling accounts of what happened and no way to prove any of it. Litigation costs money. Unless you are able and willing to fund the litigation I do not see how you can prevail.
